“IONA endorses lifelong learning and the principles of professional development (CPD) for the purpose of improving patient care, enhancing the patient experience and providing safe and effective care. IONA actively supports CPD through the provision of an annual ophthalmic nurse’s conference, regular newsletters and articles and the provision of other educational events. The IONA Council can be contacted by nurses seeking information and/or guidance regarding their professional development”.
